my hair care journey continues

Well, i have not posted here in a very long time. Since then i have started using natural soap and shampoo bars to wash my hair as well as Phyto Phytojoba shampoo.

The soap and shampoo bars i have used are:

Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap
I think this works pretty well, but it eventually makes my hair dry and staticky if i use it several times in a row. Since i only wash my hair once a week at most it will work if i pre-treat with Virgin Coconut Oil first.

Chandrika Aurovedic Soap
This actually works great. It smells nice and makes very creamy lather. This is what i like to wash my chihuahua with too. However it does have talc and some wax in it and after i used it on my hair for a while it started drying out the ends of my hair and my scalp was getting waxy.

J. R. Liggett's Bar Shampoo
This seems to harsh for me to use long term. For some reason it worked great the first few times and then seemed to be too strong a soap for me.

Phyto Photojoba Shampoo
I like this a lot. It is very expensive though - $24.00 for a small bottle. My brother's girlfriend works in a salon and started giving me samples of this and then she gave me a HUGE bottle and so i have been using it. If you try this shampoo make sure you wet your hair as much as possible before using it and also leave the foam on your hair for as long as you can.
When i use this i do not need conditioner.

Lime Juice and Water Rinse
This is usefull if you use soaps or shampoo bars to wash your hair with.
I just take a key-lime and squeeze it into a 1 liter bottle and fill it up with water. After you wash your hair with soap and have rinsed with water - then rinse with this mixture. Then rinse once more with very cold water. Makes hair very shiny and removes soap film.
